Just a short note to say a big thank you to all who took care of me while I was in your dealership. I could not find the Harley Davidson (used) I was looking for here in Alberta Canada so I decided to look in the good ol’ USA. From my initial phone call to my final goodbye I could not have asked for any better service….no kiddin’… Buying this motorcycle was a pleasant experience….(didn’t even hurt when I wrote the check!!) I would like to say a special thank you to Tim. He went above and beyond to help with every aspect of my purchase. Even came back to help with loading the bike in my truck….thanks Tim!!!! "My wife bought a new Street Glide and this weekend while going to get something to eat with friends had something fall off the bike. I did not think it hurt the part. We called High Desert service department they came and picked up the bike, fixed it all within a few hours. They were sorry we had a mishap and very polite to us. There was no charge and they replaced the part with a new one because they found a small scratch on it. You can not beat service like that. "I would like to share our experience of 10-23-o9. We picked our son and his wife up at the airport in Boise. He has been stationed in Turkey for a year and a half. When we were heading back to Ontario, he said he would like to stop in and look at bikes. We stop now and again. We had plan to get a bike again in the future and spend our retirement traveling; I dream of riding through the New England states in the fall. Well, as we were walking through the store or son steered us to a beautiful bike with balloons on it; still I didn't think anything about it. I thought it was probably the sale of the month or some other promo thing. When we walked up to it; it had a card on it to my husband and myself, from my son and his wife. Still, it didn't sink in, I couldn't comprehend this for, seemed like,several minutes. The shock and the happiness of the purchase of this wonderful bike was so overwhelming. Our son Curtis Shane Acree has nothing but great things to say about High Desert Harley for helping him to pull off this surprise. The staff there were awesome! "

This is our first Harley and won't be our last. We have visited several HD dealers across the Northwest, and High Desert beats them all. "The end of May I bought my first harley. Even though I had done alot of research on the kind of bike I thought would work for me, I really didn't know much about them until I walked into your store. From the gal up front greeting me until my final purchase several days later, my experience was the best. I never felt pressured or intimidated, my salesman, David Booth, told me up front that he wanted the best bike for me and he wanted me happy. He truly lived up to his words. I thought I had picked the right bike and by the time I was outside of Boise, I realized the 1st bike I chose was not the one for me. I called David the next day and told him I would be up to Boise again and pick something different. Even though I was apprehensive about going back on my word and going back to the store, all the folks I came in contact with were more than nice and exceptionally accommodating. I have ridden my 2009 Street Bob for a little over 2 months, put over 600 miles on it and absolutely love it!! I have never ridden a motor cycle before and have discovered a wonderful freedom I get when I'm on mine, I can leave all my thoughts behind and just be........

"Thank you!!! Peggy really took a poor experience we had last year, and made us happy customers. She is fantastic and a true gem to work with. I wish she would have had some involvement when I tried to make my purchase last year, it would have saved me a lot of money in lost trade-in value.
Once Peggy took care of me, the actual buying experience was a good one, but I did miss the big reving of the engine, clapping, etc., as I was only able to purchase after-hours. Other than that, everything was great, from financing to the introduction to the other staff members to the friendly conversations when I return to weight my new bike down with accessories.
High Desert is absolutely beautiful, and I have actually gone there after buying my bike to have lunch with friends, play some pool and check out accessories. The extra services in the lounge are just fantastic.
Overall, I would say the best thing I like about my experience and High Desert is the staff. From Peggy to Ryan to Andy... everyone is so great to work with and that great attitude is what keeps cusomters.
If there was one aspect that I would recommend looking at improving, it would be coming inline with some of the other HD dealers such as Zanotti, Wolverine, Surdyke, Banks, Oak Hill and Chicago Harley-Davidson that offer discounts on parts and accessories of 10-25%, especially for customers who have purchased bikes through them. Asking full retail for those parts from loyal customers who have purchased one or more bikes seems like an inhospitable thing to do to your customers when it is so easy to bring up the web site of those other dealers and order online, sending our money out of state. Just a suggestion.

"The purchase of my '07 Road King Classic was one of the most enjoyable purchases I have ever made. Terrel is a great salesman and his knowledge and positive attitude made me feel comfortable even though I haven't ridden in many years. His after sales delivery was outstanding (I used to work in auto sales and hope I did as good a job with my customers as he did with me). Ellen is accessories is a sweetheart!! When I took my wife in to buy her helmet, Ellen took excellent care of her and made sure she got just the right helmet explaining all the differences and what she wore and how to take care of her hair after taking her helmet off and all that important girl stuff. Both my wife and I really like her. If you need help with accessories see Ellen!!! Overall this was a great purchase and a lot of fun. "I had to have some work done on my 2007 Ultra but the problem was I had just had knee surgery and could not get my bike to the shop. I talked to Jay in service and he had a really nice guy come to my house with a trailer and pick up my bike. They took it care getting it in the trailer and tieing it down. They took it to the shop where it was fixed. Jay called me and kept me very informed then had my bike washed and they not only brought it back to my home but put it away in my garage right where I park it. They were quick, polite, friendly and helpful. This kind of service is really appreciated and goes beyond. I want to thank Jay in the service department, the bike mechanic, whoever washed it, and the guys that picked up and delivered my bike. Nice job!!!!!"

"It was a cold, gray day in late November, 2008, I was on my way to the airport to pick up my best friend, who was visiting from Los Angeles and looking forward to seeing my first motorcycle, an '07 Honda CBR600RR, and I noticed a gleaming, beckoning establishment just off the road displaying an enormous, welcoming sign that read "High Desert Harley-Davidson." I was immediately intrigued as to what sorts of chrome-laden V-Twin beasts that were just calmly waiting inside the doors of that castle for a wide-eyed boy with dreams of roaring exhaust pipes and miles of curving asphalt ahead of him to come in and introduce himself to the family inside. Upon returning from the airport we stopped and went inside and were warmly greeted by both the beautiful motorcycles and the smiling face of the man who would soon be the deciding factor in making my dream of sitting atop the mount of a brand new, lustrous black 2009 Harley-Davidson Softail Crossbones come true. That man's name was Terrell Bright. He greeted me and made me feel immediately at home and welcome in the family of Motorcycle Enthusiasts who reside in the store. His knowledge and kindness overwhelmed me at once, and I swore to him that day that when the day came and I would be able to leave on the bike of my dreams, he would be the man I would come to, to make it all happen. Never pressured, always happy to see me and talk with me, answering any and all questions I had, throughout all my ensuing visits to see my future Crossbones, Terrell became my friend even if I was never able to purchase a Softail. I was ensanared and amazed by the throwback styling of the Crossbones model, convinced that it was the perfect fit for me, and that feeling was re-affirmed by Terrell, but never in an attempt to pressure me to buy. I checked out a few other motorcycles, even more expensive models, and Terrell mirrored my belief that I belonged on that deep, reflective black Crossbones. When the day came, January 31st, 2009, I was finally ready and infinitely thrilled, to enter High Desert on my Honda and leave on the bike of my dreams. The entire process was extremely pleasant. I was introduced to more friendly, welcoming members of the High Desert family, of which I felt a part of. Jamie helped me pick out the perfect jacket to go with my motorcycle, helping me try on and decide what was just right for me. Jerry in accessories helped me become more knowledgeable about what I can add to my bike, when the time came to do that. He was extremely helpful and kind, and I put my faith in him for all the future accessorizing of my bike. The entire process went smooth as silk, I was even given a gift of a huge Heritage Plaque made of pewter, showcasing the 90's Softail Heritage motorcycles. I was taken around, shown everything I could possibly have wondered about, and all my questions and/or concerns were answered and discussed with Terrell over a hot cup of coffee. When the time came, and everyone made sure I was well-informed and comfortable (intensely excited is more accurate), I hit that orange button on the wall and the V-Twin ROAR came over the fantastic Bose stereo system...I let out a triumphant yell, and the entire store clapped and whistled, happy for me and my newly-purchased dream! I fired up that Softail, listened to it roar, and took off down the road, all my hopes and wonders having been fulfilled! The sensation of nervous-excitement was one of the greatest feelings I've had in my entire life, and I owe it to Terrell, Jerry, Jamie and everyone at High Desert Harley-Davidson! Thank you, Terrell, and thank you all for making January 31st, 2009, one of the greatest, most memorable days of my life! I will be returning for ALL my motorcycle needs, from custom exhaust pipes and scheduled maintanance down to soft cloths and spray cleaner to keep the brilliant shine of my black Crossbones as perfect as the day it was born. I feel like I'm part of the family, where there's always a place for me, forever welcome there, amongst my friends. :-) Thank you all!

"While on vacation from Branson Mo.,in Thanksgiving. The wife and I went to visit our Son and his family in Caldwell Idaho. It was my son's birthday and the wife and daughter inlaw asked me to get him out of the house to wrap some gifts and decorate the house for a birthday party that evening. Well, Birds of Prey Harley-Davidson had a great sale and on Apparel and I bought my son some biker boots. I had been looking for a used Ultra Classic Electra Glide in Pearl White. "Before becoming a Pastor I spent 25 years in sales, the last 15 of those years with a leaping deer selling Industrial Equipment (Bullldozers, excavators etc.). In selling this type of equipment that has an average selling price above $100K each, the focus is on what is called long term relationship sales. You need to establish a relationship with your customers for the long haul, because there aren't that many people that buy your type of product and they last a long time between purchases. That means that you focus on the customer and his entire range of needs. You live with them to some degree and you need to know his business needs to provide that service, not over or under selling them on their equipment needs.
As a buyer I don't rush decisions, but take lots of time to consider and, yes, even pray about the decision. My purchase decision at your dealership took from late February to August 23. I was served (and I don't use the word lightly) by Ben Colter on every occasion that I came in, and there were MANY occasions, and dreamed, wandered, wondered, and waffled about the right bike or even if a bike at all was right for me. I was treated as a customer each and every time. I was never pushed. I was never treated like a "looky-Lou". I was always given time, consideration, respect, and above all help in knowing the things I needed to know. New or used? XL Low or Custom? XL or Dyna? Ben was always patient, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. And he always LISTENED to my desires. A relationship resulted and a sale was made.
I had almost purchased a new Sportster in 1975. I almost purchased a new Dyna in 1987. I almost purchased a new Sportster in 2004. I did purchase a 2004 XL1200R in 2008.
When I came in with my '70 El Camino for the Harley Davidson Caravan, I saw exactly what I had been looking for in my Sportster. Rather than being pushed to make a decision I was offered a hold for the bike while I took a few more days to pray and consider. Ben and Peggy assured me that I should not rush the decision! After more than 6 months! At the time that I committed to the bike, I felt that I had been served in my best interest. Do you know how rare that has become today? At the time of actual purchase I was encouraged to come back the next day when I could take more time to consider clothing, accesories, warrantees and more. All of the people that I met then, Jerry in accessories, Louise Aber who was the one to actually take me through the paper maze, the ladies in the clothing area, and everyone that I had encountered over the 6 month journey to the road were absolutely fantastic!
In the 1st month since I bought my Sportster, I have been back to HIgh Desert several times. Every single time that I come in I am greeted, welcomed and given every courtesy and assistance I could ever want. I receive the same attention buying $4.00 worth of stickers as when I bought the bike.
I also logged 1086 miles on the bike in the 1st month. I try to ride it every day, and I feel like I have missed out if I don't. I know that I have the perfect bike for me right now. Thank You.
I congratulate you on the rare success of NOT treating your product or your customers like a commodity which is so common today. As I have taken the time to write this today I have not been able to think of any other purchase experience I have had as a customer that is equal to High Desert Harley Davidson. You have me as a long term relationship customer.

"Well, the wife calls me at work one day and say's "Dear, stop at the Harley Dealership on the way home, I want to test drive a bike". Now we are died in the wool dirt bike and sport quad riders so I'm thinking, what the heck has got into her? Must be my Dad. At 74 he still owns and rides two Harley's. Nope, I find out it's Miss February! It seems my wife frequents her beauty salon and she rides a Harley! So, off to the dealership I go, and sure enough, when I get there, she's with Dave, the sales representative that we've been talking to, dirt bike helmet and gloves in hand. We walk along the line of shiny new bikes, she stops and says "I want to ride this one". Dave fills out all the paper work, wheels it outside, she steps aboard, and off she goes. She comes back with a big grin on her face, Dave is about to take the bike back inside, when off she goes again! Well, to make a long story short, she is now the proud owner of a 2008 XL 1200L Sportster. What about me? Well, I couldn't let her ride alone so I had to get one too! Now, our garage, which is filled with off-road toys, has two new Harleys tucked in with them as well. Moral of the story? Watch out for those "Ladies of Harley". You just may have to buy your own bike so you can ride with them!"

"I have been dreaming of owning a Harley since I was 5 years old. That's when my uncle picked me up from Kindergarten on his Shovelhead, and I was hooked. Although life for the past 6 years has been real tough for me with personal battles and family injuries... well it's just been tough. So when I called on an 02 dyna I'd seen online at Birds of Prey; it just called to me! So I called the number and thats when I met Jason! This guy has walked me through a very huge purchase for me and all over the phone and mail... And let me tell you it has been the best experience I have had in Years! From financing to parts and everything I am Super Pleased... I Receive my Dyna this weekend in Tri-Cities. They are delivering it to me, talk about the extra mile. "On 1 Dec 07, I stopped into High Desert HD to look around. I found a 2007 Dyna Superglide that i just had to have. That evening, I convinced my wife to let me buy it. On 5 Dec 07, I was financed. My wife and I went in that night after work (we made into the shop just before their closing time) to sign all the paperwork. When we got there my wife gave me a verbal lashing, unknown to me at the time that she really didn't want me to buy the bike. Alex from finance was shocked at my wife's reaction and wasn't sure if she should continue with the process or to send us home to think about it. Finally, my wife said just do it, and went out to look around the store to get air. Rick from sales joined her and assisted her with any questions she might have. Next thing you know my wife found a 2005 Custom Sportster (blue with orange flames, Boise State Colors) that she loved and we were applying for financing for two bikes instead of one. At 8:30 PM we drove away (well after their 6 PM closing time) having purchased two of the prettiest motorcycles you have ever seen. The next afternoon, Alex called to inform us that she found another finance company that was offering a lower interest rate and knocked $50 off our original payment. Alex didn't have to do that, we had already signed a contract, but she took it upon herself to go above and beyond, and find a lower rate. That evening, I took my Dyna home. When I got home my wife said she thought my classic black Dyna was sleek and classy and she really liked it. On 7 Dec 07, my wife called me at work saying she changed her mind about her bike. She thought the orange and blue was too flashy and didn't match her personality. I called Peggy the General Manager and asked if there was any way we could pick a new bike. Peggy said the paperwork had not been turned in and she had no problem with bringing it in. My wife picked out a classic black 2005 Custom Sportster with lots of chrome (which now fits her personality). Once again we were there well past closing time but there were no complaints from any of the High Desert Staff. My wife and I now have the bikes of our dreams and this is just part of our story. In between the lines there is Rick who has offered his time to teach my wife how to ride, since she doesn't know how yet. There was an exchange of a jacket because I changed my mind about my original one. There was a lady's night during all of this that my wife was invited to, which she went and had a great evening of relaxation and meeting other female riders. And there was Mike the parts manager who bought both of us Freedom Ride Bells for our bikes out of his own pocket and the kindness of his heart (for good luck in our travels). This has been one of the biggest purchases in our lives and the staff at High Desert HD has truly been the best part (other than our new toys) of the whole experience. Two things to remember when you go to High Desert HD, if you don't want to buy a bike, don't go in. If you do go in and make that purchase, be prepared for a one of a kind, memorable experience and to be treated like a member of their family. "

"In February 2007 my husband and I purchased a 2007 Street Glide and a 2007 Softail Deluxe from Scotty at Birds of Prey. Scotty was wonderful and so was Mike, hooking us up with accessories. We had an awesome experience; the whole crew at BOP was extremely helpful and provided personalized service throughout the entire experience.
In April I took my Deluxe into BOP to have my custom ChromeFusion tank and fender set installed. Again the experience was outstanding!!! Terry and his team in service made me feel wonderful about the care and attention they gave me and my bike. Brad Littlefield specifically did an amazing job taking care of even the smallest detail when he put on the custom tank and fenders!!!! The whole BOP team came out to check out my bike and provide their comments about the finished look. I left there on cloud nine, extremely proud of my bike and grateful for the experience I had with the BOP team.
I have since had equally great experiences working with Peggy and her team at High Desert. Specifically Katie in Motorclothes, and Andy and Sean in Parts have been great to work with and extremely helpful.
Both locations truly have a team I have recommended to others and provide an overall great Harley experience!!

I fould the brake cylinder had a leak and the service department got right on it. There was not a correct part in stock but they put on a chrome one and got me on my way.
